The founding members firstly chose the English name lncTAC which is an acronym based on our technology platform lncRNA-based Targeting Chimera.

Later, the Chinese name 凌泰氪 (LíngTàiKè) came into being with profound significance.

凌 (Líng) means soaring in the sky.

泰氪 (TàiKè) has a similar pronunciation as Tech of Technology and TAC.  In Chinese, 泰 (Tài) means peace and prosperity and 氪 (Kè) means Krypton which is known for its rarity.  

So 凌泰氪 (LíngTàiKè) has the meaning of soaring in the sky, peace and prosperity, and unique.
